Seattle – Saving Grace: A Night of Hope
November 24, 2010Saving Grace 2010 was a huge success raising nearly $200,000 for the Preeclampsia Foundation! In addition to the tremendous funds raised it was an amazing night of connecting and sharing for many of the preeclampsia survivors, their families and friends, researchers, and healthcare professionals who were in attendance. The annual event was held in Seattle November 6th and provided a platform to remember those we have lost, share common stories of pain and struggle, and to celebrate the recovery of so many survivors.
Many of our Promise Walk coordinators were in attendance and were able to connect with more people interested in starting their own Walk next year. Some of the key auction items were trips to many of our Walk cities including San Diego, LA, Dallas, and Chicago. There are new walks being planned in Lansing, Indianapolis, Denver, and San Jose, California for 2011! Jill Siegel, Chicago co-coordinator, took home the Preeclampsia Foundation Volunteer of the Year award for her hard work in helping to plan the first Chicago walk, as well as her dedicated service to other areas of the Foundation.
Saving Grace Co-Chairs, Autumn Spear and Bonnie Rosenbloom, were thrilled with the night’s outcome and the opportunity to host the event in Seattle. The location of Saving Grace 2011 was also announced! New York City will be host of the annual event on November 12, 2011 and we hope to see you in the city that is famous for its bagels, cheesecake, and New York-style pizza.
