We’re Striding!

March 5, 2010

Welcome to the Preeclampsia Foundation’s new walk website!  We are excited to launch this important tool to help you get involved in our annual nationwide walks. Maybe even beyond nationwide… there’s been lots of interest from our friends in Canada, too!

You may have noticed that this year we’ve re-branded our signature walk event, now called “The Promise Walk for Preeclampsia”  Making Strides, Delivering Hope is the tagline that helps us define what it’s all about and the new logo incorporates the footprints from our previous Awareness Walks, but also conveys – we hope – a new energy and vitality to show how determined we are to move forward. We promise to bring hope and support to those families affected by preeclampsia and other hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, to find a cure, and further the campaign of preeclampsia awareness and education for all pregnant women.  Our new walk website makes it easier for you to raise money and promote your walk online.

There are many ways for you to help and this blog is one way for you to stay informed and provide feedback on our progress and new ideas. Ideas on how to create a fantastic team for walk day or tips on how to raise those fundraising dollars.  We will share with you why we walk and how you can help make a difference!  We will highlight family stories and volunteers.  Remember, the Preeclampsia Foundation relies on the power of volunteers.   Without you, we cannot move ahead.  So, thank you for all that you do!

Do you like the new logo? Do you have questions about the website or ideas for future improvements? We want to hear from you.

To our trusted long time friends, as always, thanks for your support! If you’re new to the Preeclampsia Foundation, welcome. You may wish you weren’t part of this “club”, but since you are, know that you can join thousands of other survivors and supporters to make a real difference for mothers and babies worldwide.
